Ventus expands its solar and storage pipeline in Bulgaria and Spain

Ventus is growing its own portfolio with a pipeline of hybrid solar and battery storage projects in Bulgaria and Spain:

  • Plovdiv region, Bulgaria: 10 MWp of solar with 45 MWh of storage, with construction planned for 2027.
  • North-Eastern Bulgaria: 40 MWp of solar with 180 MWh of storage, with construction planned for 2028. This will be the largest project in our own portfolio to date.
  • Catalonia, Spain: three hybrid projects with a combined 6 MWp of solar and 24 MWh of storage, with construction planned for 2028.

Together, these projects total 56 MWp of solar and 249 MWh of battery storage. They build on our experience with our 3.3 MWp solar plant in Candasnos, Aragon, in operation since 2023, and with the hybridisation of our Bulgarian wind sites.

Every new project in our pipeline is designed with storage from the start. This reflects our belief that the future of renewable energy lies in combining generation and flexibility in a single, optimised plant.
